The 744 (Cowichan) Squadron Administration Society is the local representative of the Air Cadet League of British Columbia and is comprised of parents of air cadets.

The Society charged with the responsibility of managing the Squadron Finances, Lodging and providing support to Cadet Activities.

The Society is made up of volunteers, and the following are members of the Executive Committee:

744 Cowichan Squadron is a not-for-profit organization. If you would like to contact the sponsor association, please call the cadet hall on Wednesday parade nights at 250-746-4688 or email our Chairperson or contact 744theskyisthelimit@gmail.com. Executive Meetings are generally held once a month on the second Wednesday and any parent can attend. Parade night is every third Wednesday.

Parents are always welcome and encouraged to drop by the parents’ room at the cadet hall on Wednesday nights. The coffee is usually on and we encourage feedback to our Executive members and networking among all parents. Ask how you can get involved.

• 27 SEPTEMBER, 2023 (Wednesday) – 19:30 – Executive Meeting.
• 18 OCTOBER, 2023 (Wednesday) – 19:00 – Prepping crosses, bring a staple gun.
• 20 OCTOBER, 2023 (Friday) – CFB Esquimalt 
• 21 OCTOBER, 2023 (Saturday) – 10:00 – Prepping crosses, bring a staple gun.
• 22 OCTOBER, 2023 (Sunday) – Special Memorial Ceremony supporting Malahat Legion, Cobble Hill Cenotaph at 11am (if we have an adult supervision).
• 25 OCTOBER, 2023 (Wednesday) – 19:30 – Executive Meeting.
• 28 OCTOBER, 2023 (Saturday) – 10:00 – 15:00 – South Cowichan Poppy and Cross Placement. (10-12pm at Millbay Plaza, lunch at Malahat Legion, cross placement at various locations, pick up will be at Francis Xavier church at 3pm). Parents needed for driving.
• 29 OCTOBER, 2023 (Sunday) – Flag raising ceremony and cross placement in Duncan, Mt.View Cemetery.
• 4 NOVEMBER, 2023 (Saturday) – Poppy sales for Duncan Legion.
• 10 NOVEMBER, 2023 (Friday) – Avro Anson Documentary screening at our hall.
• 11 NOVEMBER, 2023 (Friday) – Remembrance Day (Lake Cowichan, Duncan, Cobble Hill).
• 28 FEBRUARY, 2024 (Wednesday) – Mess Dinner at Cook and Butcher in Cow Bay. Cadets from Ladysmith will be joining us.
• 9 MARCH, 2024 (Saturday) – 9:00-14:00 – Bottle sorting, lunch provided by SSC.
• 13 MARCH, 2024 (Wednesday) – 6:30-21:00 – Spring Break game night and camp info session.
• 6-7 APRIL, 2024 (Saturday, Sunday) – First Aid Training for senior cadets.
• 14 APRIL, 2024 (Sunday) – 10:00-14:00 – Duncan Flying Club Day.
• 3-5 MAY, 2024 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) – Squadron field exercise with 848 Royal Roads squadron (cadets from Langford).
• 22 MAY, 2024 (Wednesday) – Awards Night, families are invited to stay and watch. We will hand out the majority of our awards and promotions, this parade is a dress rehearsal for our ACR (Annual Ceremonial Review, our yearly graduation parade).
• 1 JUNE , 2024 (Saturday) – 9:45 – ACR Parade, cdts arrive 830, parade to start at 10 followed by a small reception
